Basic Info
Name:Charlotte & Lloyd
Bio
charlotte & lloyd
Well, now that Lloyd finished reading his book (he stayed up to finish it, so that’s why he was dead this morning) and that Charlotte has read it on the train and during our long break at school…
WE’RE BOTH DESTITUTE. We read too quickly.
As a result, we’re making a joint effort to create this page—dedicated to the two of us as an entity. Even though we’re dizygotic, we’re very alike. We’re always together, take the same classes, have similar interests, and understand each other a little too well. We concluded that we’re too similar to have two different profiles. It’s less work for the reader to come here than to read two pages that almost say the exact same thing, with just a few differences.

APPEARANCE.
We both have straight brown hair that is usually messy. We don’t bother to brush or comb our hair. Charlotte’s is longer.
We like comfortable clothes. When we’re not at school, we can be found at home in pyjamas. We sometimes exchange clothes—right now, Lloyd is wearing Charlotte’s ‘ugly red sweater’.
Charlotte is flat-chested and has a boyish figure. Lloyd refuses to 'bulk up' (Charlotte agrees). Because of this, we look as similar as siblings of the same age can.
We’re both physically weak, and we look it. Blame the collective ‘nerdy’ character.
Charlotte is clumsy and trips over her own feet. She has a scar on her left shin from falling down an escalator… at the end of the high school prom.
Lloyd gets sick easily. He has unbearable allergies (by that, we mean ‘worse than Charlotte’s’) and almost seems to constantly have a cold.

PERSONALITY.
We share the same personality type (INTP), though, if anything, Charlotte is slightly more extroverted and Lloyd scores a little lower for perceiving. However, in the end, we function with the same preferences, in the same order:
Introverted Thinking,
Extraverted Intuition,
Introverted Sensing,
Extraverted Feeling.
To conclude that we’re odd would be an understatement.
We’re often told that we’re insensitive and aloof, and it’s actually kind of true. We like to think that we understand people well, but that’s mostly through a logical analysis rather than through good empathic abilities. We do make efforts to understand them, but people’s irrational and uncontrollable emotions scare us half to death most of the time. Charlotte is a bit more developed in the area of feelings—Lloyd is forever hopeless.
When we’re the ones who are stuck in a precarious situation, or (worse!) who are emotionally disturbed, we hide in our own minds. We’re too emotionally incompetent to help one another. Call us cowards, but the mind is much safer than the outside world.
We might seem serious, but we have our hyper moments. Make us attend a party and we’ll retreat into our heads. Give either of us something interesting to learn, and we will be bouncing off the walls (while rightfully annoying everyone around us).
Our first language is French. We actually learned English at the beginning of high school—we were sent to an English school, so we didn’t really have a choice. We think we’ve done a fairly good job, for terminally lazy people. We now speak English with everyone but our parents. Together, we speak a medley of all the languages we’ve ever studied, however briefly (Japanese, Latin, Spanish, yada yada yada). English is the background for our ‘Llotte-speak’. We find that it’s easier to fit words from other languages into an English structure than it is to incorporate them to a French framework.
We’re very playful with one another. We never mean any of our insults to be hurtful. Really, they’re just jest. We don’t get offended, even though we might play-pretend to be.
People mostly ignore us. Since we’re always together, we don’t really need more socializing anyway. We’re younger, we’re weird, and we’re socially inept, so of course they ignore us.
Yeah, we’re younger. 15-year-olds haven’t normally graduated from high school. Pretend we’re older. The issue has been dealt with.

MISCELLANY
We’re both left-handed.
We have the same overall average.
We have the same IQ (well, we don’t sense any difference, we score within five points of each other on any real standardized IQ test we take, and even when our scores are different, it’s never the same person who scores highest).
We only like junk food and deserts.
Charlotte recently got addicted to tea.
Lloyd prefers any kind of latte coffee.
We frequently get so absorbed in things that we forget the real world (which includes bodily functions like eating and sleeping).
We’re messy.
Charlotte gets headaches a lot.
Lloyd’s ankles frequently hurt.
We need very little sleep. We go to bed late and wake up extremely early.
Charlotte is a better public speaker.
Lloyd types faster.
We probably both have a light Asperger syndrome or schizoid personality disorder.
We have individual rooms, but we often sleep in the same one anyway. Usually, one of us will come over to talk, and we both end up falling asleep. Our parents gave up trying to prevent this habit a long time ago.
We use our laptops interchangeably (we also sometimes use one laptop for the two of us)and share our music collection.
If anyone’s interested, Charlotte is older by about two hours. We don’t care much about who’s younger or older.
Oh, and our parents liked Victorian names.
